Imagine an 11 year-old that is so proud about completing her first step in a weight loss program. Excited about the next step in the program that requires 6 more weeks of payments, she’s told that she won’t be able to continue. “It’s too expensive,” her parents tell her. Her perception – she’s just not “worth it”. Now, imagine this same girl in her twenties, wanting to live the American dream and buy a tiny take-out restaurant with her husband. They pour all of their money and sweat into this vision – – many times robbing Peter to pay Paul just to keep afloat; Only to have to lock the door and walk away four years later losing enough money that would have paid for their son’s private college 12 years later. Stunned and lacking confidence they both take real jobs just to make ends meet. But their life makes a HUGE shift many years later. This is my story. Fear of money invaded my life for many years. Yet, even in spite of the many barriers and road blocks, I refused to believe that I was destined to live an ordinary paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. I knew I could have and be more. And, because of that mindset, I managed to manifest a great career that not only paid well but I loved it! My husband and I completely remodeled our home that was meant to be a one bedroom summer cottage on the lake with no appliances to a gorgeous, fully redesigned three bedroom home with the most incredible sunset views!! But this journey wasn’t a straight and clear path. When I would have peace with money, it flowed readily into our lives. But when faced with a bump in the road, I would spend many nights wide awake and paralyzed by fear. Years later I discovered the mindset connection. I learned how to deliberately stop living in fear. My deeper understanding of how to master this SKILL of breaking through money fears has been a gift that I am grateful to now share with so many individuals just like you.
Elaine Torrance-Gingrich is a Certified Life Coach and Clinical Hypnotherapist. She also holds certifications in Weight Loss and Relationship Coaching and has recently added Advanced LOA to her list of certifications.
